When you step off the ferry, Tour Daufuskie will introduce you to Sallie Ann Robinson, a sixth generation native of Daufuskie Island and recognized TV personality, celebrity chef, and spokesperson for preserving the legacy of Gullah culture.  During the next 2 ½ hours, Sallie will fascinate you as she makes the history of Daufuskie come alive by sharing her many stories about growing up as a child on bridge-less Daufuskie Island and attending the two-room school where she was one of author Pat Conroy’s students.  Your ferry boat ride back to Bluffton is sure to include lively conversation. Offered at 11AM and 2PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.  Call 843-842-9449.
